150 Ultra Thin Mesh pushes thin-filament mesh technology to the absolute limit. Because we use extremely thin threads in our mesh, the openings are much larger than normal mesh. Additionally, because the filament/threads are thinner, the resistance and friction created by mesh interference is greatly reduced.  The combination of larger openings and reduced thread interference allows much larger volumes of ink to pass through the mesh with reduced squeegee pressure. 

Our 150 mesh count ultra-thin mesh is dyed yellow for optimum image accuracy and extremely crisp edge definition. 

The best way to think about our 150-thin-mesh is that it has openings the size of a standard 110 mesh, however, there are twice as many openings per square inch.  A 110 mesh has 12,100 openings per square inch, while our 150 mesh has 22,500 openings per square inch. Additionally, our mesh has been dyed yellow and will hold the detail that is very comparable to a 196 white mesh.

Plastisol Inks: Because minimal force is required to transfer ink through the mesh, very soft squeegee blades can be used further increasing the amount of ink transferred. And because minimal pressure is needed to transfer the ink, the ink deposit will sit on top of the fabric rather than being driven into the fabric providing greater opacity.

Depending on the ink, squeegee handle, and blade used, many prints on dark fabric can be printed without flashing. 

Water-based Inks:   Water-based inks easily pass through the mesh fully penetrating and encapsulating the fabric with minimal printing effort. Additionally, because the mesh openings are larger and the filament fibers are thinner, the WB ink will resist the tendency to dry in the mesh. 

SPECIALTY INKS: Discharge ink prints like a dream, resists drying in the screen, and will wet out the fabric to ensure complete dye discharge!  Jewel tones, fine glitters, and various metallics can be printed with excellent detail and excellent coverage. Puff inks and other specialty ink can be printed with fine detail and excellent coverage. 

These  150 UTM screens should be called: "Save the day" frames: When your back is against the wall, everything you have tried has failed and you are out of options, pull out your 150 UTM frame and give it a try. If your 150 UTM frame saves your rear end once, it has paid for itself!

What is special about the ALUMINUM FRAME?

Ultra-thin mesh is not the only thing that makes our screens special. 

• Every frame is screen printed with a special epoxy ink on one end of the frame.
• Each frame is laser etched with the mesh count and an individual serial number.

Our frames have a very unique size of 23" x 24". -  Benefits include:

• A 16" squeegee can be used in either direction
• Four left chest prints can be ganged  (rather than only two)
• The screen can be used in an automatic press

These frames seem too good to be true... What's the catch? 

Yes, there is a downside to Ultra-Thin-Mesh. All of the great benefits of Ultimate-Thin-Mesh come at a cost.  DURABILTY is greatly sacrificed. These screens are EXTREMELY  FRAGILE.  It is not a matter of "IF" the screen mesh will break, but "WHEN". - Our mesh is the thinnest of all the thin mesh in the 150 mesh range on the market today so it is also the MOST DELICATE. If your shop breaks standard mesh regularly, then these screens will NOT LAST even one day in your shop.  

To remind workers how delicate the mesh is we have taken the time to screen-print with a special epoxy ink on one end of the frame the following warning: "WARNING: Very delicate - Handle with love"

Our thin mesh frames are incredibly delicate and because of this, we are NOT able to offer any warranty.  There are NO returns, NO refunds, and NO exchanges for any reason. 

Every effort will be made to ensure that your screens arrive in good condition. Each frame has a unique laser-etched serial number.  We will send retail customers a photo of their order before placing the screen in the box. The photo will show that the frame is perfect when it leaves our facility.  We use specially designed, custom boxes for our frames that will protect your screen during transport. If a screen arrives damaged or with torn mesh, we can not provide a refund, you will need to file a claim with UPS. 

Are you willing to lose $50 on a screen that may rip before you even print one job, if not then please do not purchase.

There are less than 200 frames available. This mesh is very obscure and will likely never be produced by our Japanese supplier again. They had a small amount that we believe was produced as a test and we purchased it all.  This item is an Ink Innovations EXCLUSIVE item.
